Sydney SL Lions performed 'Bhakthi Geetha' at the ' Vesak Day' Ceremony at the
Lankarama temple on 31.05.26. There were over 2000 audience.
'Vesak Day' is the most important Buddhist festival, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Buddha.
Organ donation sign up had been took place on 31.05.26 at the Lankaramaya Temple. Over 150 people signed up for the organ donation. This project organised by the lions district 202N5 and Sydney Srilankan lions club.
2MT of Rice on World Hunger Day 28/5 helping homeless, the hungry and those in need. 13.6% of Australians live below the poverty line and over 120K are homeless. Coordination at its highest at Lions District 202N5, with 18 Clubs including Sydney Srilankan lions club, donating 2MT of Rice to various food kitchens across Sydney.

Childhood cancer project.
Sydney Srilankan lions donated surgical suture materials to Apeksha hospital, Srilanka. The donation was done to the paediatric cancer surgical theatre. Members of L/C of Wattala, SriLanka hand over the donation to the hospital staff behalf of Sydney SriLankan lions 08.08.25
